This facility is designed for overseas visitors.
You must have a return airplane ticket and passport in order to be considered as a guest.
(East 8th street in Manhattan has been named as 'Saint Marks Place', a fun unique area.)
These studio apartment units are completely private, your room is not shared with anyone, you lock the door and you enjoy complete privacy.
Some rooms are larger and will sleep up to 3 people, while some rooms are smaller and will sleep only 2 people.
The rates are for the entire studio apartment not the number of people that it can sleep.
(There is no guarantee that these larger rooms will be available, if the rooms are available then we will provide them on a first come first serve basis, if the larger rooms are not available then the twin bunk bed size beds will accommodate 2 persons or maybe 3 “skinny” people).
Newly refurbished bathrooms and showers are down the hallway, not in the rooms.
Each private studio is equipped with the following: sink with a single handle faucet, a cabinet base, vanity mirror, refrigerator, microwave, high definition (HDTV) television, remote control and curtains on the windows.
A lockable cabinet is provided.
All bookings must be made online; we do no accept walk-in or telephone reservations.
No one under 18 years of age will be considered or permitted to enter the facility.

You should retain a copy of your confirmation booking receipt.
Cancellations or changes must be notified to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance via phone or email.
In case of a 'no show,' one night will be charged.
You can book for a maximum stay of 24 days; we can not accept bookings for a longer period.
If you require a longer stay, then a credit check, guarantors and other requirements may be necessary in order to sign a longer term stay.
This facility is a fund raising effort by MacDougal Street synagogue - Beth Midrash to build a new synagogue and in its never ending quest to teach tolerance and understanding to everyone in the world.
We can not accommodate New York state residents.

Our prices do not include tax.
New York city taxes are 22.25% on rooms $40 and above.
For example, a room for $50.00 per night calculates as follows:
5.875% for city taxes and
8.375% for state taxes for a total of
14.25%, and in addition there is a
$2.00 per night state room tax and
$2.00 per night city room tax.
Therefore, on $50, you pay
$7.125 in city and state taxes plus
$4.00 per room tax totaling
$11.125 which amounts to
22.25% tax on a $50 per night stay.
Taxes will be added to your bill when you arrive.
